Meet Our Team
Dr. Nathaniel N. D. Annorbah
Executive Director
Nathaniel has extensive experience in conducting faunal and avifaunal surveys across various habitats in Ghana. He has worked with the Zoological Society of London Wildlife Wood Project–Ghana and the Ghana Wildlife Society and has participated in numerous studies. His work includes consultancy projects for corporate bodies, wildlife refuge establishment, and biodiversity assessments for Environmental Impact Assessments. His goal is to apply his expertise to contribute to national and international biodiversity conservation efforts and educate others about the importance of preserving the environment for future generations. Nathaniel’s specialties include bird ecology, habitat modification for wildlife, tropical ecology, and conservation education.
Dr. Sandra Goded Millán
Director, Biodiversity Conservation and Partnership
Sandra is a passionate conservation biologist with significant field research and ecosystem preservation expertise. She has dedicated much of her career to understanding and protecting wildlife, with a particular focus on her research work in Mole National Park and its neighbouring communities in Ghana. Her research has contributed valuable insights into the conservation of flora and fauna, helping inform sustainable management practices. Sandra’s dedication to biodiversity conservation is reflected in her hands-on approach to research and her long-term commitment to preserving natural habitats for future generations.
Thomas Gyimah
Manager, Biodiversity Conservation Programs
Thomas Gyimah is a conservation biologist with over ten years of experience in biodiversity research, particularly focusing on birds and sea turtles along Ghana’s coastline. He has led various ecological studies and monitoring projects, including overseeing shorebird populations in the Amansuri Wetland Conservation Area and other adjoining landscapes. He was also part of a team that conducted avian and sea turtle monitoring for the Tema Port Expansion Project and the ENI Ghana project in Western Ghana, ensuring compliance with World Bank environmental policies.
Samuel Awini
Programs/Research Coordinator
Samuel Awini is a doctoral researcher in Wildlife Biology with over five years of experience studying how African elephants contribute to carbon storage, how land use shapes their feeding preferences, and how these insights can inform solutions to human-elephant conflict using genetic analysis, camera traps, vegetation surveys, and remote sensing. He has professional research and conservation experience across Gabon and Ghana, including work in elephant genetics, human-wildlife conflict management, and wildlife monitoring in protected areas.
Raphael Nii Laate Lartey
Communications and Branding
Raphael Nii Laate Lartey is a skilled professional with expertise in digital communication strategies, focusing on using technology and media to create meaningful social impact. He has a strong record of accomplishment in designing and implementing communication initiatives that engage diverse audiences and drive positive change, especially in the areas of biodiversity conservation and environmental sustainability.
Benedicta Amewoha
Finance & Administration Assistant
Benedicta Amewoha has assisted in finance, accounting, and administration by supporting project implementation, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing reports to guide decision-making. She also has experience in ensuring compliance with organizational procedures and contributing to the smooth running of administrative operations.
